Spirit Call Northwest

Answer the call and see what grows

HomeVision QuestMeditation ClassWorkshops and ClubsAbout Us and Links

A quiet voice is calling to us always, but in the hectic pace of our everyday lives we aren't able to hear its message. The Vision Quest is an ancient tradition that is needed now more than ever before because it pulls us away from all the distractions of our daily lives and creates a space where that voice can be heard. Alone in the purity of nature, we open our hearts, creating fertile soil where the seeds of our vision can be planted and thrive. Today, the Quest is used by people of all ages in many societies. The Quest experience offered by Spirit Call NW is in the tradition of Stalking Wolf, a Lipan Apache elder. Stalking Wolf used not only the traditions of his own tribe, but the traditions of the quest that were universal for all Native American tribes and other cultures that used the Vision Quest experience. Stalking Wolf removed the cultural differences, leaving only the simple, pure format that works for everyone. The Vision Quest is the birth rite of all people regardless of race, gender, religious affiliation, background or belief system. It is a gift for all who are willing to seek it.

VISION QUEST
This Vision Quest is an eight day program, the Quest itself being four days and four nights. During this time you will be alone in what we call your Quest Circle in a forested setting with minimal gear (sleeping bag, tarp and water). The Quest is also a time of fasting.

We will help you prepare for this life-changing experience and will provide the structure and support for taking the four day Quest. We will also provide security and protection from outside interruptions, as well as help you with the tools to process and understand the gifts and insights you receive on your Quest.

FEES
A fee is not charged for the Vision Quest experience. Traditionally, the quester would present a gift to those providing the Quest. In modern times, that gift can be a donation to help cover the costs of operating the Quest-land rental, food and supplies while in camp, etc. To help those who are unsure of what this amount might be, a donation of $300-$350 would cover the direct costs of this Quest. This is a donation though so the amount, if any, should be determined by you. Don't let the cost stand between you and the Vision Quest experience.
